Hello 2024!

Welcome back to another year of Food for Thought where we update you on events and happenings at Food Envy each month.

We’re well back into the swing of things and Jan is almost over, but we know some of you are still struggling to get back into work mode - especially with the glorious sun shining outside most days!

We feel you with the struggle, so to help with those post holiday blues, we’re shouting afternoon teas for the remainder of the month! With every lunch order over $250, we’ll include a FREE afternoon tea. There’s no better way to curb 3:30-itis than an arvo tea shout. There’s only one week left to go, so get in quick!

January Afternoon Tea Promo

For every lunch order over $250.00 + gst, we’ll include a free afternoon tea - our treat!

To redeem this offer, email your lunch order to catering@foodenvy.nz and mention JANUARY NEWSLETTER to take advantage of this promotion.

T's & C's: Lunch order must be placed on 25 Jan or later, to a total $250.00 excluding gst and delivery. Afternoon tea items are chef's choice and must be delivered with lunch. Only available Monday - Friday. See the full terms here.

Erskine Chapel

We are super excited to add this breathtaking new premises to our list of venues.

Erskine Chapel is considered to be New Zealand’s finest French Gothic-style chapel, featuring a soaring vaulted ceiling, Italian Carrara marble and glorious acoustics – considered to be the best in the Southern hemisphere.

Erskine Chapel is recognised as a Heritage New Zealand Category 1 Historic Place and listed on Wellington City Council’s Heritage List for its exceptional architectural, historical and social significance.

We were incredibly lucky to be one of the first groups to experience the venue as guests for our Christmas party last year!

Available for up to 100 guests, the chapel, the grand ballroom, upstairs function room, foyer and kitchen facilities are exclusively yours when you hire the venue.

Open for Business

There’s a new kid on the block and we can’t contain the news any longer. We’re beyond excited to introduce you to Glou Glou.

Located in the Exchange Building between Allen and Blair Street, Glou Glou is the latest addition to the area, serving espresso by day and wine at night.

While the wine bar is still in the works, the cafe is in full swing, serving exceptional coffee, baked goods and our coveted handmade crumpets.

In the coming weeks Glou Glou will launch a croissanterie, showcasing meticulously crafted pastries, painstakingly developed and perfected over more than 6 months by Chef Blair Son, our Head Pastry Chef.

Louie’s XL Fried Chicken

Follow @louies_xlfriedchicken for updates!

By now, you may have seen our other little brother company around, so there’s no better time to give a proper introduction to… Louie’s!

Lead by Head Chook, Chef Jamal Tamaiva, Louie’s started as a side project and a collective love and obsession for fried chicken. Once word got out about Jamal’s XL cutlet and XL wings, the demand for Louie’s skyrocketed. Now we’re slinging fried chicken goodness at events and festivals all summer long!

Festival Season ☀️

In addition to this summer’s booked events, we’ve been making appearances at festivals around the region this summer.

JuicyFest 2024

Early January we fed the VIP’s and VVIP’s at JuicyFest, including the acclaimed artists! (Starstruck is an understatement when we heard that T-Pain rated our lamb ribs!).

While there were food trucks and stalls available to the crowd, we provided the food offering to 800 odd VVIP ticket holders with all day access to food. We had a blast jamming to the performances while feeding 800 guests!

Gindulgence 2024

Last weekend we served up Louie’s at Gindulgence, NZ’s gin festival. Louie’s went down a treat with the gin lovers on the waterfront. What better way to enjoy a tipple than with a wing or two! 🍸🍗
